I’ve been on the hunt for a chunky black watch. I got very excited about the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! colorway. But, it’s pretty fucking gigantic, and there’s a sorta more refined-ish option I’m also into: the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , in the unofficially-named Pepsi colorway.
The Digi Tuna is solar powered, but does not have atomic time sync like the GAW-100. It has assorted features like activating the light by just tapping the watch face instead of a button, and it’s got an arguably more professional look to it that I might even wear to my business casual office, but I’d also be fine wearing kicking around in jeans and a t-shirt.
Here are videos of both. The G-Shock video is actually of the GAS-100 which is solar but not atomic but otherwise looks identi cal to the GAW-100. Turn your volume down—doofy music awaits you.

I know folks get passionate about Seiko but my one and only Seiko was a cheap automatic diver with a cheap folded steel link bracelet. It had a very short power reserve and didn’t keep good time. Kinda soured me on automatics in general because I don’t want to mess with a winder. I’ve got 4 quartz watches, a Citizen atomic/solar, a white G-Shock solar, a Skagen and a Timex Weekender. The latter 2 are sitting in my closet with dead batteries lol.

that’s certainly fair, I’ve got a mix of auto and quartz each have their moments. I’ve heard good things about the digi tuna, have you considered the new arnie reissue? Its a lso solar, chrono gmt etc with the macho diver look

That does look cool but it costs more than the d igi tuna which I like more .
